Classroom News

We would like to extend a warm welcome to ‘Miss Abbey’ who will be our new   co-op student. Abbey is a grade 11 high school student from Tecumseh Vista. She will be helping in our classroom for the remainder of the school year. She is an amazing student leader who will be assisting us in any way she can in our kindergarten classroom.

Many students have shown an interest with trains and other types of vehicles. Students will be given the opportunity to make home-made trains or other creations on Thursday. Please send boxes, rolls, tubes, used wheels, bottle caps, string, pipe cleaners and/or any other odds and ends that your child could use to build. Please make sure all items are sent to school by Thursday.

We will be reading the polar express book in different ways and learning about different types of trains. We will be making train tickets and look forward to boarding the 'Polar Express' at Tecumseh Vista on Friday while we watch the polar express show.

We had a great first week of kindergarten. We are meeting and greeting many new friends in our class. We learned about Chester the Raccoon in the Kissing Hand. When you are finished making your hand to keep at school, please send it in your mailbag.

We also had fun reading, singing and dancing to "Pete the Cat Rocking in my School Shoes". Pete learns all about his new school... just like us! See below for the new song we learned:
